Amy Schumer may be a new mom raising an adorable young son, but she hasn’t lost her comedic edge — or her hilariously dirty mind!
The Trainwreck star popped in for an interview on the very first episode of the new podcast What To Expect, launched by iHeartRadio Originals and co-hosted by Heidi Murkoff and her daughter, Emma Bing. And in vintage Schumer style, Amy held nothing back when pressed for details about her new life as wife to husband Chris Fischer and mom to 14-month-old son Gene!
In an E! News preview of Schumer’s interview — the podcast’s first full episode comes available to the public on Wednesday, August 5 — the 39-year-old momma got real about her first year of motherhood, including her experience having what she called “new parents sex” after Gene’s birth.
Speaking about the medically-prescribed six-week wait to hop back in the sack with her husband after giving birth, the always-funny Schumer shocked the hosts with her trademark TMI talk:
“Well, you know, it’s like they say, you can’t have sex for like six weeks, you know? And I was hoping it was going to be longer than that because they just, like, sliced my FUPA open. I’m not like dying to, you know, get pounded from behind. Thank you very much. So I was very down to wait the six weeks and then, and then it was nice.”
Ha!!! Never shy about just letting it all hang out there, is she?!
Ever the observational comedian at heart, the Inside Amy Schumer lead also discussed the success she and Fischer have had in planning sex now that they’re full-time parents.
Judging by her comments (below), it sounds like Amy’s got it all mapped out:
“Once we can have sex again, it was, it was nice. And we’re really good about having sex once a week. We just keep it going because you have to otherwise you’re just like roommates and then it’s like weird that you’re having sex. We make a plan. We go like, ‘Let’s have sex tomorrow or Tuesday. That’ll be a good day.’ And then we do it and we go, ‘That’s great. We should do that more,’ but we still just do it once a week.”
LOLz!
Hey, we get it… there’s quite a bit to do around the house to keep track of a baby!
On a more serious note later in the podcast, Schumer further opened up with her thoughts on possibly expanding her family in the near future. Giving birth again is “never” going to be an option, she noted, after suffering through hyperemesis gravidarum during what turned out to be a difficult pregnancy for the New York native. But the couple has recently tried IVF as a possible solution, and surrogacy is still on the table, as she explained to the hosts:
“I’m never going to be pregnant again. I also have really bad endometriosis and the Adenomyosis. I could have a baby again physically but it might kill me. We got some embryos and I went through IVF and we got one normal one and two mosaics. We’re thinking seriously about taking the surrogacy route. COVID kind of put everything on hold, but of course we do want more. I hope that’s in the cards for us.”
We hope so, too!
Here’s hoping Amy and her hubby can continue to successfully schedule “new parents sex” in the future, even if more kids are running around the house! LOLz!
