Armie Hammer slams 'bulls**t claims' as he drops out of Jennifer Lopez movie

Armie Hammer has decided to drop out of his upcoming movie with Jennifer Lopez, slamming the ‘bulls**t claims’ against him.

The Social Network actor has pulled out of the upcoming movie, titled Shotgun Wedding, after messages, allegedly from Hammer, detailing disturbing sexual fantasies, were leaked online.

However, he has hit back at the claims, saying to Deadline: ‘I’m not responding to these bulls**t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.

‘Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.’

A production spokesperson added: ‘Given the imminent start date of Shotgun Wedding, Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.’

According to the site, the part is now set to be recast.

Lopez and Hammer were set to star in the movie, which follows a couple who gather their opinionated families for a destination wedding, just as they start to get cold feet.

Things go from bad to worse as the whole party is taken hostage.

Hammer has also reportedly left the cast of upcoming series Gaslit, which is set to star Julia Roberts, Sean Penn and Joel Edgerton.

Deadline reports that the actor left the series before the current controversy, because of a scheduling conflict with another show, The Offer.

His part in Gaslit is also set to be recast.

Upcoming projects of Hammer’s also include spy movie Million Dollar Spy, and the untitled Call Me By Your Name Sequel.
