Dealing with body-shamers’ criticism over her fluctuating weight, the ‘Meant to Be’ hitmaker retorts through a tweet that read, ‘Yes I’m in my fat era and what?’
AceShowbiz –Bebe Rexha has clapped back at her body-shaming trolls. After finding herself being subjected to criticism over her fluctuating weight, the “In the Name of Love” singer flaunted her belly in a mirror selfie to answer to those who deemed her “fat.”
On Friday, June 2, the 33-year-old songstress let out via Twitter a photo of herself showing off her tummy. In the snap, she could be seen standing in front of a huge mirror as she pulled up her black sweatshirt to expose her belly. In the accompanying tweet, she wrote, “Yes I’m in my fat era and what?”
In that same tweet, Bebe also put out a screenshot of TikTok searches about her. Some of the searches in the screen capture read, “Bebe Rexha normalize 165 lbs,” “Bebe Rexha getting fat same,” “Bebe Rexha coachella fat,” “Bebe Rexha before and after,” “Bebe Rexha halftime fat,” and “Bebe Rexha bathing suit.”

Many of the “Me, Myself & I” songstress’ followers defended her in response to her tweet. In the replies section, one slammed the hateful comments by writing, “Not fat at all!!! You look normal, healthy and beautiful. Screw the haters. They’ll always find something to hate on.” Another positively pointed out, “Fat era? More like fab era!”
The heartwarming responses did not stop with the two replies. A third exclaimed, “And you are more powerful and beautiful than ever before.” A fourth gushed, “I don’t think so! I think that you have always been extremely beautiful and will always be! I love the real you!” A fifth reminded, “Don’t worry about that everyone has that era all that matters is that you feel good and humble no stress!”
Bebe has previously talked about her gaining weight and being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. In the Thursday, May 25 episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, she revealed, “I went to the doctor last year – and a lot of women actually have this and they don’t know about it – but they diagnosed [me] with PCOS, which is polycystic ovary syndrome.”
Sharing more on what PCOS is, Bebe explained that it is “one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese,” She further shared, “I literally jumped, like, 30 pounds so quickly, maybe a little bit more. But we gotta just be positive and just show people love.”
