Claiming that she rarely exercises, hates water and fails to prioritize sleep, the ‘Real Housewives of New York’ alum boasts that she chooses ‘balance and happiness.’
AceShowbiz –Bethenny Frankel has a rather bold method in promoting body positivity. In her attempt to encourage fans and followers to appreciate their body and natural beauty, the former star of “The Real Housewives of New York City” shared an unfiltered photo of her wearing a bikini along with a lengthy message appreciating her own body.
On Friday, June 10, the founder of Skinnygirl made use of Instagram to let out the photo that saw her rocking a blue bikini while standing at the poolside under the sun. In the picture, she was also seen donning a pair of sunglasses and a sun hat while smiling widely at the camera.
“Here’s the unfortunate truth. I rarely exercise,” Bethenny captioned the photo. “I hate water. I prioritize sleep but fail. I eat whatever I want but I never binge. I run around like a lunatic with endless energy…”
Bethenny continued admitting that she went on a diet and doing exercise in the past, but was unhappy with the result. “In my 20s & 30s I dieted & exercised endlessly & was much heavier & less happy overall with my physical appearance,” she confessed.
“I have good skin but I sag in some places & am thin,” the TV personality further noted, then added, “But not in any notable muscular shape by anyone’s standards.”
Overall, the 51-year-old entrepreneur felt happy with her body. “I choose balance and happiness & doing the best that I can. When I’m 90 I won’t wish I exercised more, that’s for sure,” she concluded her long caption, adding the hashtag #noglam #nofilter and #loveyourself at the end.
Bethenny’s positive post was applauded by her fans. Many showered her with praises in the comment section as one wrote, “Just turned 50 – ty for letting me what I have to look forward too.” Others pitched in with replies such as “Bethenny you look absolutely amazing” and “Love this post! Thank you for you honesty!”
This was not the first time Bethenny went unfiltered. In August 2021, she raised similar topic by sharing her unfiltered underwear selfie. In the caption, she wrote, “If I were a ‘filterer’ I would have gotten rid of my lines and my dark circles, but this is me at 50. #zeroglam #zerofilter.”
“Why do I mention this all the time? Because I think it’s important for young women to know that being flawed is truthful and real, and that filtering yourself into someone fictitious is actually damaging to girls’ and women’s self esteem,” the TV personality further stated. “It’s courageous and beautiful to be real at any age.”
