Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus, 49, has admitted that chemotherapy is making him feel “miserable” amid his cancer fight. The musician, who sings co-lead vocals in the band, told fans he is currently taking each day at a time following his devastating diagnosis.

Mark shared an update on his health after he told his social media followers that he was feeling “scared” after receiving his cancer diagnosis, but trying to stay “hopeful”.

The rockstar has not shared what type of cancer he has been diagnosed with.

Mark opened up during a live stream of Blinko on Twitch.

The singer explained his white blood cell count is so low that he has been instructed to stay at home.

“How am I feeling today? I feel much better than yesterday,” Mark told fans, who had been sending their well wishes to the star.

He continued: “Yesterday was hellish for me and I woke up today feeling better.

“I went for a walk, and I had a decent breakfast, and I haven’t felt like I was going to throw up today, so we’ll take it as a win.”

Mark added: “On good days, I go do stuff. I went on a walk outside today and it was the first time I’d left my house in like… five days pretty much.

“But this round of chemo I wasn’t totally stuck on the couch, miserable.”

He then revealed, according to Absolute Radio: “I wanted to go to the Dodgers last night – I can’t.

“I want to go hang out with friends and go to a restaurant – I can’t.

“My white blood cell count is way too low for me to go out so I am stuck trying to get better.

Mark shared with fans for the first time that he has been battling cancer in a recent social media post.

Posting to his Instagram story, the bassist and singer revealed he has been having chemotherapy for the past three months.

He penned: “For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.

“I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.”

He continued: “I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive.

“Can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future.”

He concluded his message with a touching message to his fans, saying: “Love to you all.”

Hoppus had previously shared a photo of himself sat in a hospital bed, in a now deleted post.

The caption had read: “Yes hello. One cancer treatment, please.”
