Caroline Flack’s boyfriend shares another loved-up snap as Love Island bosses ‘gear up’ to announce replacement

Caroline Flack has not had the easiest of times in the past two weeks after being charged with assault by beating before stepping down as the host for ITV's Love Island.

But it seems there's one thing that has proved stronger than ever; her relationship with 27 year old Lewis Burton.

The ITV show host was arrested and charged with assault by beating on Friday, after an incident which is said to have involved boyfriend Lewis at her North London home.

Despite this, the model has taken to his Instagram stories to share a loved-up snap of the two while on a night out, proving that nothing can stand between them.

In the sweet photo, Lewis can be seen smiling at the camera, wearing a fitted pink shirt and dark trousers, while Caroline wraps her arms around his waist. "Over it," Lewis wrote alongside a single red heart emoji.

It's not the first time he's taken to his social media channel to share his love for Caroline this week. The hunky tennis player shared a message defending her against the circulating headlines, writing: "I'm tired of the lies and abuse aimed at my girlfriend. This is not a witch hunt this is someone's life. [sic]

"I have not signed any NDA. Why would I? Caroline is the most lovely girl. Loyal and kind. She doesn't deserve any of this."

It comes as Love Island bosses are reportedly "gearing up" to announce Irish star Laura Whitmore, 34, as the replacement for Caroline on the ITV show.

Caroline, 40, previously announced she would be taking a break from the show she said: "In order not to detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is stand down from Series 6.

"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."

Laura, who is dating Love Island voiceover star Iain Stirling, is now said to be stepping up to replace The Flack as MailOnline reported that ITV is "keen to keep it in the family."

The website also reports that Laura and her boyfriend Iain will co-host the aftershow, Aftersun, together.

The decision for the couple to present together is said to be because they have “a great dynamic”.

Shortly after Caroline announced that she would no longer be hosting the upcoming series of the show, reports surfaced claiming that Laura had conversations with ITV bosses.
