Cheryl has been spotted donning a pair of wedged trainers as she arrived at rehearsals for her West End theatre debut in London.
The former Girls Aloud pop star and solo singer is gearing up for her latest career move after bagging a part in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story.
But the star's look was the most striking element of her arrival to work as she rocked a retro look not seen for a few years.
Back in the early-mid 2000s, it was all the rage for pop stars and actors alike to don their best low-waisted trousers, wedged sneakers, baker boy caps and belly chains.
The fashion fads of the decade have long since past, and while the 90s is currently enjoying a ginormous comeback in the fashion industry, not many people thought the Noughties would be back so soon.
Ever the trendsetter, mum-of-one Cheryl looked bundled up for the cold as she hopped out of a taxi with bags of high-end shopping tow.
One of them was from lingerie brand Wolford, and the star also clutched a mink-coloured tote bag in her hand.
Wearing a pair of baggy black trousers and a warm white Puffa jacket, Cheryl kept her brunette tresses neat under a navy blue cap with The Weeknd's logo on the front.
The Blinding Lights hitmaker is known to be one of the star's son Bear's favourite singers, as his dad Liam Payne even previously revealed their little boy is "obsessed" with his music.
Despite shielding her face from onlookers, the singer still made sure her makeup was pristine underneath, opting for bronzed cheeks and a slick of lipgloss.
The likes of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez were often seen donning wedged trainers back in the height of the fashion trend, but they've fallen out of favour in recent decades.
Strictly Come Dancing and The X factor star Fleur East was spotted wearing a similar pair in black and red suede back in 2016.
It comes as Cheryl's return to the spotlight is said to be her chance to reinvent herself after three years away from the industry.
The star is set to step into Laura Whitmore’s shoes as she plays the role of Jenny in spooky play 2.22 A Ghost Story, and a source told OK! she's ready for her next career move.
“Cheryl wants to reinvent herself in 2023. She was on TV all of the time, she was the sweetheart of the nation," the friend of the star told us.
"But she stepped back for a while to focus on being a mother.
“She’s excited to be coming back. Some things haven’t worked out in the past that she’s tried, but this is a very exciting time for her.
"She’s wanted to get back on the scene for a while," the source added.
