Chris Evans, 55, admitted being around his wife Natasha – and arguable most people – when she’s hungry, is not a safe place to be. The cheeky admission came as he was reading out the headlines in the US about a rogue alligator chasing down customers at a Wendy’s restaurant in Florida, and Chris revealed he knows the feeling.
It’s not worth the risk!

“Hangry alligator chases people through Wendy’s car park in Florida,” he read aloud as his co-star Rachel Horne gasped.
“Now, if you’re going to mess with someone who’s hangry, be careful,” the DJ laughed.
“When my wife is hangry, seriously run a mile!”
He added: “Come my way, it’s just not worth the risk!”
Reverting back to the somewhat terrifying news report, Chris raised his brows: “Being around hangry people is one thing, but being around a hangry alligator is something else.”
He continued to read out the rest of the story, which stated that the reptile measured a whopping 6ft long.
“Deputies in Floria captured a 6ft alligator after they say it chased pedestrians through a Wendy’s parking lot in Lee County.
“Now, we didn’t know whether it was trying to get to Wendy’s to chomp on some of the savoury snacks because it was hangry…” he joked.
“Or whether it was trying to jump the queue, or whether it wanted the queue… the queue was it!”
He joshed: “Forget the the burger, give me the people!” as Rachel burst out laughing.
Alongside the article, photos show a trapper wrangling the gator but following its capture, the Sheriffs Office confirmed it had been safely released and relocated and there were no injuries reported.
Elsewhere, the Virgin Radio Breakfast show host revealed there will be tears in his house this week as he candidly addressed a family milestone while chatting to his co-stars.
The media personality has two-year-old twins Walt and Boo whom he shares with Natasha, and he announced live on-air that the duo would be taking a big step by starting nursery yesterday.
Talking about the passing of time, the star went on to say that memories are either “a minute ago, or 100 years ago”.
After celebrating a listener’s birthday on air, Chris added that his son Noah is also the same age.
“He’s 12, he’s catching up”, he added, before dropping a huge milestone for his family.
“The twins go to nursery for the first time tomorrow”, he revealed as Rachel sharply inhaled before simply commenting, “tears”.
“Rivers, rivers, flood warnings, amber warning in our house all week this week,” he sighed.
Rachel asked: “Has Tash got an exit strategy for when she drops them off?”
“She needs to have something that she’s going to do!”
“I don’t know!” the radio presenter laughed.
The Chris Evans Breakfast Show airs weekdays at 6:30am on Virgin Radio.
