Former Benidorm cast favourite Crissy Rock, 61, has spoken out about the moment her honeymoon with husband Julian Buck descended into chaos, when their cruise ship was anchored at sea following fears over the coronavirus back in February. The actress and her other half were on board a luxurious Queen Mary 2 ship to celebrate their marriage, two years after tying the knot.

The couple had been planning their honeymoon since their 2018 wedding, but had to delay their trip as Crissy took part in All New Monty last year.

They were set to travel around Oman, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore before ending their holiday in Hong Kong.

However, Crissy and Julian’s plans went badly wrong when their ship was banned from docking at multiple ports.

Speaking about the frustrating situation in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Crissy said: “We went on a honeymoon, but we had to wait 12 months to go on it. We went to Dubai to pick the ship up and then that was it.

“We never did anything else and we just sailed round and round and round.

“We were in quarantine in the cabin, but we couldn’t dock anywhere and to see all the places you want to see like Singapore, you just sail past it and you think, ‘Ugh!’”

Discussing the disappointing end to their trip, Crissy added: “They just took you to Australia, dropped you off the boat and sent you home, I was like, ‘Oh my God!’

“When I got off I was trying to get my sea legs off because we were on the boat constantly for 20 odd days, we never got off the ship.”

The Celebrity MasterChef star admitted the boredom became so “bad” that she and her fellow cruise ship passengers had to rely on playing table tennis with the crew for entertainment.

She recalled: “It got that bad that the entertainment was table tennis between the crew and the passengers.

“There were no more acts left, they all jumped ship!”

The stand-up comedian previously discussed her unprecedented experience alongside her husband on Good Morning Britain, shortly after the couple were able to return to the UK.

She said: “It was terrifying to think how close you were to where the virus was, but Cunard’s main priority was to keep everyone on the ship safe.

“We were all fed and watered. We were treated fabulously.

“We knew something was going wrong when it started to go slow.”

Crissy also spoke about her decision to get involved in the Better Health campaign in a bid to lose weight and become healthier after the coronavirus lockdown.

She divulged: “I’m knackered now and after this lockdown I’ve become even more knackered.

“I’ve just put loads of weight on and you don’t go anywhere, you don’t do anything and then all of a sudden you’re just stiff as a board.

“So now I’m exercising and watching what I eat because I can now go to the shop obviously and then when you were doing online shopping you think, ‘Oh get me those cakes!’

“You just end up stuffing your face all day every day, bored, so it’s time to get with it now.”
