Love Island star Curtis Pritchard has admitted he’s never seen a series of the dating show from start to finish, despite being a contestant on the fifth series of the show.
The 24 year old professional dancer, who’s girlfriend Maura Higgins shared the sweetest tribute to him recently, made the revelation as he chatted all things Love Island with OK! online.
When quizzed about his views on the recent series of the show, Curtis said: “I can’t compare it to any other series because, yes I’ve been in a series, but it’s different watching it than being in it and I’ve not really watched any of the previous series, so I’m enjoying it.

“I understand why it works, there’s so many different things happening, there’s so many different stories and there’s always something there that’s going on so we’re always captivated I completely understand why people love the programme.”
When pressed further about his revelation, he explained: “I’ve seen episodes and stuff but I haven’t been an avid Love Island watcher, no.
“I know about it, obviously, it’s a massive programme and I have watched episodes before, absolutely, but I haven’t watched it from day one to finish, ever in my entire life.”

Curtis explained his reasons behind going into the villa in the summer of 2019, despite not knowing entirely what he was getting himself in for. He said: “I knew of the show and I had watched episodes like I said.
“I had one long term relationship in the past and that ended and I was single and I like to experience so many different things in life.
“I got the opportunity to go on Love Island and I thought, ‘Wow this would be an incredible opportunity’ and if I am lucky enough to come out with a young lady then that’s just a bonus – then you really are a winner.

“I like to experience situations in life and I’m very open minded about everything so I just wanted to see what would happen with it really and where my life would go from there and my life’s blown up since that and I came out with a young lady so, I’m very lucky.”
Curtis met his now-girlfriend Maura Higgins on the show, whom he has been dating since they reached the finals in July.
But the reality star, who also slammed negative rumours about his relationship with Maura in the chat with OK! online, hopes this series will be the one he will watch in full.
“I’ve actually this from day one until now so this could be the first series I watch the whole way through,” he said.
