Former EastEnders star Joe Swash is known for his sunny outlook, but it transpires he is less than positive about his forthcoming appearance on Dancing On Ice and is already convinced that he is not going to win the hit ITV show.
His negative view was no doubt helped along by his recent fall which resulted in the presenter hitting his head. Dan Whiston, the show's Associate Creative Director said: "Joe Swash fell and hit his head in rehearsals. It's horrible when it happens but it does sometimes. "There are cuts, bruises, knocks and scrapes. They've all had their fair share, there's nobody that's had one bigger or worse than the others. They've all had that."

However, the TV presenter is still ready to make his televised debut on the ice alongside Alexandra Schauman, who took the top prize during last year’s series with her previous partner Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan. But although he is clearly being trained by one of the best, Stacey Solomon’s fiancé is apprehensive about his chances in the contest. He said: “I can’t see myself winning this. I really can’t.
“I’m going to really enjoy it. I will let that come across and try to get as far as possible, but I’m just not graceful enough to win.”
It seems that Loose Women star Stacey, with whom he has a baby son called Rex born earlier this year, has about as much belief in his ability to win as we does.
He revealed to Metro.co.uk that: “Stacey thinks this is hilarious, she can’t wait to watch me do this. She thinks I’ll be rubbish. I probably will be."

Dancing On Ice
Despite suffering a fall Joe was thankfully able to recover and is all set to compete against stars including TV legend Trisha Goddard, Diversity’s Perri Kiely and model Caprice Bourret. Even though he has reservations, he’s said that he will be giving the competition his best shot, and while he is new to dancing he will try to not take the criticism too harshly.
He said: “If someone was criticising me on something I really have been training and doing forever and I had put a lot of work into, I would be disheartened. But I haven’t skated before, I’ve never danced on ice, so I will take it pretty well.”
