Debbie McGee stands out in leopard print as she supports Strictly partner Kevin Clifton

Debbie McGee, 61, stepped out in style last night to support for her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton.

The TV and radio star, who won the Christmas special of the BBC dancing show with the professional dancer in December, headed to the theatre to see the 37-year-old in action.

Kevin is starring in a stage production of The Wedding Singer at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London.

The professional dancer, who previously appeared in Dirty Dancing and Rock of Ages in the West End, will take on the role of Robbie Hart – a character made famous by Adam Sandler in the 1998 film of the same name.

Debbie wore a classic little black dress for her trip to the theatre on Tuesday night.

Wearing her blonde tresses swept up into their signature style, she teamed her outfit with a pair of gem-encrusted pointy heels and opaque tights.

A large animal print coat and silk scarf completed her ensemble.

After the show, Paul Daniels’ widow took to Twitter to share pictures from her night out and praise her former dance partner.

She told her 42,300 followers she was proud of the Strictly star.

Alongside a picture of the pair, Debbie wrote: “A fantastic night out seeing ⁦Kevin Clifton in The Wedding Singer. So proud of you.”

Taking to the comments section of the post, one fan remarked: “Looking wonderfully happy as always, such a bubbly radiant personality and so, so lovely. Glad you had a most enjoyable evening. You truly deserve to be happy!”

At the event, Debbie also posed for pictures with Anneka Rice, 61, who was Kevin’s partner in the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Taking to her own Instagram account with a picture of herself with the man of the hour, the TV broadcaster told her 17,800 followers he was “brilliant.”

She said: “Aw! The boy. @keviclifton! He was brilliant in The Wedding Singer last night. His voice is beautiful.”

Anneka cheekily continued: “You’ll be amazed if you go. And his dancing’s not too ropey.”

She added: “Great cast – with a storming turn from Sandra Dickinson which is still making me chuckle. #theweddingsinger #troubadourtheatre #wembley #musical #kevin!”
