Disney Parks are updating their mask mandates for it’s two theme parks in the U.S.
Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World will be lifting their mandates that all guests will need to be masked up, whether outdoors or indoors, Deadline reveals.

The mask mandate lift mainly applies to parkgoers that are fully vaccinated, and those who are not vaccinated will still be required to mask up.
“Beginning February 17, 2022, face coverings are required for unvaccinated Guests (ages 2 and older) in all indoor locations, including throughout indoor attractions and indoor queues. Face coverings are required for all Guests, regardless of vaccination status, in certain indoor settings including Disney shuttles and in health settings, such as in First Aid. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas,” the Disneyland website reads.
The Walt Disney World website states that face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in both outdoor and indoor locations.
According to their websites, masks must have the following:
- Be made with at least two layers of breathable material.
- Fully cover the nose and mouth, and secure under the chin.
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow guests to remain hands free.
Neck gaiters, open-chin, triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes are NOT acceptable. In addition, costume masks are prohibited from being worn.
Disney Parks have altered these mandates as they see fit to adhere to health guidelines, and the mask mandate has been lifted before, and reinstated as COVID cases surged.
