Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen often shares photos from her life on her Ravenseat farm with her followers on social media. However, the star felt compelled to respond recently after one fan commented on what she was wearing.
Over the weekend, Amanda took to Twitter to post an update on her farming work.
In view of her 175,000 followers, she shared three snaps of herself with her cows.
Alongside the pics, she wrote: “A bite of feed for the stirks.
“*Ciara doesn’t like to share so has her ration on her own.*”
This prompted one follower to comment on her “dressing up” in the pictures.
The photos featured Amanda in her sun-dappled fields taking selfies with them.
For the work, the shepherdess wore a green tank top with a black off-the-shoulder T-shirt layered on top of it.
She wore dangly earrings and had her short hair loose around her shoulders.
Janet McDowell wrote: “Hope your cows appreciated the way you dress up to go out to feed them.”
Amanda was quick to hit back as she told the follower the cows don’t care about how she looks.
She penned back: “They don’t judge.”
Others responded to her farm update as they thanked her for sharing the pictures.
Fan Raj Takhar wrote: “Well done Amanda your photos are awesome.”
“Lovely photos, thanks for sharing,” added TonyGreen.
Another follower named Jane asked: “Is that Ciara the sock-eater?”
Earlier this month, Amanda revealed her family had been left suffering from Covid.
She and her husband Clive Owen, 67, have nine children together who they raise in Yorkshire.
However, the family recently had to isolate themselves after contracting the virus.
Posting back at the beginning of September, Amanda admitted they had been “laying low”.
She shared a video of her daughter Nancy skipping in a field as she shared the news.
She penned: “Making great strides.
“*We’re fine but a few of us have been laid low with a dose of the [virus emoji]*”
The family seem to be back on their feet as the shepherdess shared last week the kids had headed back to school.
