“I’m safe and I’m loved and there’s no threat to me anymore, and that’s what means the world to me.”

Diane previously dated former Gladiators co-star Hunter, real name James Crossley, but the pair split after a year together when she quit the show.

During the podcast Diane was asked if she was in happy place now, to which she confirmed: “I am, I am, it’s taken me a long time to get there, I won’t lie.

Speaking about a former relationship she added: “I could cry but I won’t. I sadly left the south of England and moved to the North west of England for something that wasn’t what it seemed, and ended up really hurt, badly.”

She added: “It was horrendous, really horrendous, and it put me off relationships and everything for life.”

However, Jet was all smiles later on as she gushed about her fiancée Zoe before introducing her to the camera.

Gladiators will return with an 11-episode season on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later in 2023.
