David Beckham has been left “heartbroken” after it was revealed Friends legend Matthew Perry had died.
The actor, who portrayed Chandler Bing on the American sitcom, was found dead in a Los Angeles home on Saturday after he reportedly drowned in a jacuzzi.
A host of TV personalities, actors, and former colleagues have since raced to social media to pay tribute to the talented actor.
Among those leaving tributes was Inter Miami owner Beckham, who sent his condolences with a poignant tribute posted to his Instagram Stories.
Taking to the platform, the former England international added not one, but two iconic pictures of the Friends star.

In the first story, David posted a black and white image of Matthew, writing: “It’s just so sad. We’ll miss this laugh,” while adding a heartbroken emoji.
The former professional footballer then followed up his tribute with a snap of Matthew’s Friends character, in which he added: “Thank you for all the laughs, Chandler Bing.”
David and Matthew sparked an online friendship in 2020 after the football icon was pictured wearing a Friends T-shirt while out on a walk.
The apparel in question featured a scene from the season three episode The One Where No One’s Ready, where Joey puts on all of Chandler’s clothes.

According to an early report from TMZ, the Friends star is believed to have drowned.
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that first responders were initially called to the Los Angeles property for a cardiac arrest.
Sources also told TMZ that no illicit drugs were found at the scene, and that foul play was not suspected.
The outlet later claimed prescription drugs – including anti-anxiety and anti-depressant pills – were found inside the home.
Perry’s final post on Instagram also showed him enjoying a dip in what appeared to be a jacuzzi, with the caption reading: “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
Warner Bros Television Group, which produced Friends for its entire run from 1994 to 2004, said it was a “heartbreaking day” in a statement.
It read: “We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry. Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros Television Group family.
