Ex Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 42, has shared his worries about his one-year-old daughter’s head “shakes” on social media. The ballroom pro, who is married to fellow dancer Old Jordan, 38, asked his fans for advice after admitting that Ella’s behaviour was making him “worry”.

But just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing because it always makes me worry

The dancer took to Twitter to ask his 273,500 followers about their experiences with their own little ones.

He wrote: “Does anyone else’s baby shake their head from side to side a lot, on a regular basis?

“I know it could be for a number of reasons, teething, self soothing or to help fall asleep etc etc.”(sic)

James ended the post by asking people to come forward with their stories, saying he felt concerned at Ella’s behaviour.

He continued: “But just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing because it always makes me worry.”

One follower told the dancer to see a GP instead of taking to social media, which saw James explain his move.

They wrote: “Don’t ask on Twitter. Please contact your health visitor and GP. Take a video when it happens.”

James responded: “Listening to others who have had the same experience is honestly sometimes better.”

Fans of the dance professional were quick to offer their insight, with many explaining that their children shook their heads when they were tired or as a way to get to sleep.

It comes just six days after the doting dad took to Instagram to share pictures of Ella’s first birthday with his fans.

After posting a sweet picture of the tot in a pink party dress surrounded by birthday balloons, many took to the comments to wish his daughter well.

While Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, who also appeared in the BBC show, said: “Hope you guys and Ella had an amazing 1st birthday.”

Speaking to ITV’s Loose Women about their daughter turning one, the couple opened up about the past year and their emotional IVF journey.

James also addressed that he was having an “horrendous” time with his dad, Alan.

He said: “Last year my dad got diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour and he’s currently back in hospital really, really not very well.

“It’s really upsetting…” before he broke down and was comforted by his wife.

Ola continued: “It’s really difficult because obviously we can’t see him, [James’] mum can’t go and see him either.”

Addressing having a baby during the pandemic, the couple said their daughter has bought them nothing but joy.

Ola said: “I do feel like she’s been sent to us this year just to put smiles on everyone’s faces.”

James added: “Especially being an IVF baby which is a bit of a miracle in itself, she has kept us all smiling.”
