Jeremy Clarkson discusses his recovery from coronavirus
Former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson, 60, has appeared in an Instagram video on his farm after recovering from coronavirus. The clip, which was shared on The Grand Tour presenter’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop page yesterday, marked the first time he had been seen since the news broke that he had contracted Covid-19.
Jeremy gave fans an update on his health while announcing that trout will soon be available to buy from his shop.
He could be seen feeding fish on his farm in the clip, while wearing a green coat and sporting more facial hair than he had previously.
The star said in the video: “Hello everybody and thank you for your good wishes.
“I did have Covid. I didn’t, as the newspapers reported, ‘battle it’.”

“So chin up, and if you want to buy a trout, these will be ready very soon.”
Some of the page’s 75,000 followers took to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on Jeremy’s words.
One person wrote: “I’m so glad you recovered. stay safe Jeremy. I couldn’t afford to lose you right now.”
Another added: “Nice to see you got better and best wishes for your health.”
A third fan commented: “So glad you’re feeling better…and now feeding fish.”

He said: “The doctor was very clear. I’d feel under the weather for between five and 14 days, and then I’d either get better, or I’d have to go to hospital.
“Where, because I am 60 and fat, and because I’ve smoked half a million cigarettes and had double pneumonia, I’d probably die, on my own, in a lonely plastic tent.”
He described waking up drenched in sweat as he suffered from a persistent dry cough and decided to head into isolation.
To aid his recovery, the star took himself off to bed with “the new Don Winslow book and a bag of kale” and waited “for the Grim Reaper to pop his head around the door”.
He added in his The Times column: “I’m not going to lie — it was quite scary!”
The car enthusiast explained that he isolated in a small cottage with his girlfriend Lisa Hogan, 46, and her children.
He continued: “With every illness I’ve had, there has always been a sense that medicine and time would eventually ride to the rescue, but with COVID-19 you have to lie there, on your own, knowing that medicine is not on its way and that time is your worst enemy.”
Addressing his concerns about the virus, Jeremy added: “We keep being told that we know a great deal about COVID, but what I’ve learnt over the past 10 days is: we don’t.
“We don’t know how long we are infectious for. We don’t know how to tackle it. We don’t know what it does to us.”
