Kate Middleton surprises parents on the school run as she visits nursery breakfast club

Kate Middleton left children and parents shocked on Wednesday morning as she made an appearance at a London nursery.

The 38 year old visited London Early Years Foundation Stockwell Gardens Nursery and Pre-school and helped serve breakfast to the students.

Duchess of Cambridge Kate stunned in a cream coloured jumper which she teamed with black jeans and ankled boots as she made her visit.

She covered up with a large blue coat as she battled the cold January morning when she stepped inside the establishment.

During her trip to the nursery, Kate was taught about the importance of nutritious food for child development as part of her Early Years initiative, which she has vowed to spend time on over the next year.

Sitting with youngsters as she poured them cereal, she said: "It's great to visit place like this where communities come together to support one another.

"Last week I launched a UK wide survey on early childhood because I want to hear society's views about raising the next generation.

"I'm so happy that over 100,000 people from all across the UK have already completed it, and I can't wait to see the results."

Once breakfast was over, the mother-of-three sat down with the adorable youngsters, with photos seeing her playing with the children once they had finished their morning meal.

Kate recently paid tribute to her own children — Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and on year old Prince Louis — as she paid a visit to Cardiff last week.

She wore a personalised gold midnight moon necklace by jewellery designer Daniella Draper during the engagement.

The gold disc necklace that hangs from the chain in engraved with the letters 'G,L,C,' alongside a trio of stars, which represent her children.

The necklace costs a whopping £1,070, with the product description reading: "The moon is universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. The phases of the moon symbolise immortality, eternity and enlightenment."
