Kelly Clarkson performed a cover of Rod Stewart‘s 1988 classic “Forever Young” during the “Kellyoke” segment of a recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
Stewart’s “Forever Young” was an updated version of Bob Dylan‘s 1974 track. Stewart made some changes to the lyrics in his version in honor of his kids.
“Whatever road you choose, I’m right behind you win or lose / Forever young,” he sang. Stewart’s eldest son Sean appeared on the video.
“Forever Young,” which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on October 15, 1988, spent a total 24 weeks on the list at various spots.
Clarkson has already covered “Another Day In Paradise” by Phil Collins and Hall & Oates‘ “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” this year.
