Kerry Katona has slammed Kim Kardashian after the reality star made a comment that she doesn’t “have the best of everything” on social media.
Kim, 41, shared a quote on Instagram Stories which read: "The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything."
It sparked a stunned reaction from many followers, as Kim is well known for regularly flaunting her wealthy lifestyle and recently revealed her $150 million private jet to fans.
And now former Atomic Kitten star Kerry, 41, who recently admitted she's planning a Vegas wedding like J-Lo, has criticised her for being "out of touch" and "tone deaf".
She wrote in her new! magazine column: "Kim Kardashian has been slammed by fans for posting a quote that read “the happiest people don’t have the best of everything”, despite recently showing off her $150M jet! Is she taking the p**s?!
It’s very tone deaf and out of touch. Yes, the happiest people don’t always have the best of everything, but that is very easy for her to say! She needs to get a grip. She certainly does have the best of everything."
Kerry continued: "I was watching an episode of The Kardashians recently and she has a storage unit, bigger than my house, for all of her clothes," before adding: ~"Come on Kim, lay off the inspirational quotes!"
Following Kim's post, one person took to forum site Reddit and wrote: “Kimberly you literally have the best of everything.”
Another said: "The first quote really loses all meaning when you do in fact have the access to the best of everything."
A third added: “Holy s*** can they please stop with the faux gratitude and acting like they don’t have everything," while someone else said: "All right then give up all your s***, Kim, and we’ll see how happy you are.”
Kim has amassed a wealth of over $1 billion and lives in a $60 million mansion in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles.
The estate includes a giant wardrobe room that hosts endless hefty-priced designer clothes and the star also has a huge warehouse with 30,000 other items.
Kim showed off her $150 million luxury private jet — immodestly coined Kim Air — earlier this month, which was revealed to have been completely re-decked out with muted tones of greys and beiges and included sweet treats of custom Skittles.
It comes after Kim also received backlash earlier this year for her insensitive comment about what it takes for others to achieve the same success as her.
In an interview with Variety, she said: “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f**king a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
Kim later apologised for her comments following the critical responses given.
