She’s been on a hiatus from work since the tragic loss of her daughter Lorena in July last year, but now Lauren Goodger is trying to move forward with her life.
The Essex girl, 36, who is also mum to two-year-old Larose, is in talks with “two major reality television shows”, a source close to Lauren has told new.
They explained, “Both shows have big audiences and cult followings. It would mark a big TV comeback for Lauren. She feels she’s in a good place and is ready to take on different challenges after a difficult year.
“Lauren isn’t the same person people saw on TOWIE – she’s now a mum and has changed a lot. It’s really obvious to producers that she’s in a completely different stage of her life and she’s looking forward to showing a new Lauren. A woman who has different priorities than she did in her twenties.”
There’s no denying that the star has been through a tough year. Following the heartbreaking loss of her baby, who passed away shortly after birth, Lauren was allegedly assaulted on the night of Lorena’s funeral by the father of her two children, Charles Drury.
Following his arrest, Charles, 26, recently appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to inflicting actual bodily harm and engaging in “controlling or coercive behaviour”. He was released on bail and the trial will commence next year.
Amid the court proceedings, Lauren marked the first anniversary since the loss of Lorena and told new she wouldn’t be “here” if it wasn’t for her daughter Larose.
“I wouldn’t be able to carry on without her,” she revealed “I went through so much in such a short space of time, it was so much shock and pain. It’s just heartbreaking. No mum should ever go through that.”
Our source explained that Lauren, who was an original and iconic cast member on TOWIE back in 2010, and also appeared on reality shows Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating, is “excited to work” and “get into a routine again” after spending a year healing from her trauma.
“While her daughter Larose will always come first, friends and family have offered to help out with childcare if she needs to go to filming,” the source told us.
“It feels like an exciting new chapter for Lauren and she can’t wait to get started.”
