Love Island's Anna-May Robey has admitted that her time in the famous South African villa was "overwhelming" at times due to the intense nature of the show.
The star found herself leaving the programme on day nine after being dumped from the villa after Australian bombshells Aaron Waters and Jessie Wynter arrived and were forced to pick to Islanders to send home.
Anna has now admitted that she felt as though she "couldn't get away" from the drama surrounding the couples.
Speaking on Johnny Seifert's Secure The Insecure Podcast, Anna-May said: "It's very like overwhelming because you don't get a five-minute break.
"I like having five minutes for myself, I like spending time by myself and I think being in a villa where you're surrounded by people 24/7, even though I love them all to bits, I find it quite difficult sometimes, especially when you're talking all the time."
She added: "It's very, very tiring in there. Very tiring."
"But I think you get used to it after the first couple of days… the first couple of days in there I had a little bit of a breakdown."
Despite her initial reservations, the payroll administrator from Swansea praised the production company behind the show for their support, saying: "To be fair, their production team and they've got welfare in there.
"You know, we've got psychologists that you can speak to, they're all really good when like you're kind of struggling, they're all there for you."
Following her exit from the villa, Anna-May broke her silence after she landed back in the UK as she posed with her personalised Love Island suitcase.
Wearing a cream, comfy tracksuit and sliders, Anna-May took to Instagram to thank fans for their support. She said: "We're back. Thank you all so much for the kind messages and support."
Asked about her Love Island experience upon her exit, Anna-May said: "It was really exciting, I really enjoyed it. When three of the boys stepped forward for me at the pick, it gave me a good confidence boost.. I didn’t expect Olivia to steal Kai, but I admired that from her.
"It made me laugh when Tanyel then came in and stole Kai from her!"
Summing up her experience, she added: "I had such an incredible time, I've made really good memories and friends that will last a lifetime. It's definitely something I would do again, I have no regrets because I've had the best ten days of my life!
"It's an experience that not many people get so you can’t take that for granted, I'm really grateful."
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
