Mariah Carey and JoJo teamed up Friday night for a special backstage performance of “Everything Fades Away” at Carey’s The Butterfly Returns residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
As Carey and JoJo performed the 1993 hit, others sang the background vocals.
Carey shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “Everything Fades Away Just the background vocals! With special guest, the beautiful @iamjojo Hope you’re enjoying our backstage moments, let me know what song you want to hear next!”
JoJo also shared some videos of herself watching Carey’s performance on her Instagram Story.
JoJo recently announced her first headlining tour in three years. The North American tour, which will have more than 20 stops, is in support of her upcoming album, Good to Know, scheduled for release this spring.
“This journey has been a journey of learning how to love myself. I feel really lucky, really, really grateful for the longevity that I have and for the resilience that I do have,” JoJo said.
She added, “But I work on it every day. I want to create a life for myself and I want to create a legacy.”
