Meghan Markle hints at struggles after Pharrell Williams’ marriage praise

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have quite the support system.

While meeting Pharrell Williams on Sunday at the European premiere of “The Lion King” in London, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received a few words of encouragement from the music producer amid international attention surrounding the British royal family.

“It’s so beautiful, your union,” Williams, 46, told Meghan and Harry, according to footage from ITV. “Love is amazing. It’s beautiful. Don’t ever take that for granted, what it means in today’s climate. I want to tell you, it’s so significant for so many of us. Seriously. It’s significant. We cheer you guys on.”

Meghan, 37, then replied: “Thank you, they don’t make it easy.”

Williams, who has been married to Helen Lasichanh since 2013, appears on “The Lion King: The Gift” soundtrack, which was curated by the film’s star, Beyoncé.

As for Meghan, she has endured an onslaught of scrutiny in recent months following the birth of her first child.

Earlier this month, the former “Suits” star and Harry, 34, created a firestorm of controversy over their decision to host a private baptism for son Archie. Meghan later sparked backlash over an alleged photo ban at Wimbledon.
