Meghan Markle’s Friend, Janina Gavankar, Hits Back at Sussex Christmas Card Photoshop Claims

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently in Canada, where they have been spending the holiday season.

The royals released a seriously adorable e-card just before Christmas in which their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was the focus. However, since the card first appeared on social media, it has been hit by Photoshop claims.

Now, the person responsible for taking the gorgeous snap, Meghan’s friend Janina Gavankar, has taken to Instagram to clap back at any negative press regarding the card. She wrote, “So proud to have taken the Christmas photo for one of my best friends and her family. Here’s the original that was sent out (cropped to fit IG). …and to The Mail, I see your campaign against my friend continues. Nice photoshop of my non-photoshopped image. Now may we all get back to the spirit of Christmas and not the spirit of maliciousness.” Case closed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently taking a break from official royal duties. Having spent Thanksgiving in the United States with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, the Sussexes have now traveled to Canada for Christmas.
