Michelle Obama Tells Ellen DeGeneres She’s ‘Netflix & Chilling’ During Quarantine

Michelle Obama is just like the rest of us and trying to find a balance from being at home all the time now because of stay-at-home orders during the coronavirus pandemic.

During a phone call with Ellen DeGeneres this afternoon, the former First Lady opened up about what she’s been filling up her days with and how she’s thankful for her family and health during this time.

“Ya know, we’re just trying to, like, structure our days,” Michelle shared about her daily activities. “I mean, everybody’s home. The girls [Malia and Sasha] are back because colleges are now online. So they’re off in their respective rooms doing their online classes and I think Barack is — I don’t know where he is. He was on the phone on a conference call. I just got finished with a conference call.”

She continued, “We’re just trying to, ya know, just keep a routine going. But we also got a little Netflix and chilling happening.”

Michelle also hopes everyone understands that if they are healthy, they’re lucky to have that during this time period.

“Be grateful for what you have and be ready to share it when the time comes. Because that’s really what it’s all about,” Michelle says. “Now we’re just happy that we’re together and everybody is healthy and safe — who cares about the other stuff?”
