Days after revealing her split with husband Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus dropped an emotional breakup song.
Earlier this month, the couple announced they are parting ways after seven months of marriage.
The new song, titled “Slide Away,” begins with the lines, “Once upon a time it was paradise / Once upon a time I was paralyzed / I think I’m gonna miss these harbor lights / But it’s time to let it go.”
“Once upon a time it was made for us/ Woke up one day and it turned to dust/ Baby we were fine but now we’re not/ So it’s time to let it go,” Cyrus sings in apparent reference to the split.
“Move on, we’re not 17 / I’m not who I used to be / You said that everything changed / You’re right we’re grown now,” Cyrus sings.
“Slide Away” is one of the tracks from her upcoming album, She is Here.
