Nigel Farage claims he told ITV bosses to go to hell following FURIOUS row over his naked I’m A Celebrity scenes
Nigel Farage has claimed he told ITV bosses to ‘go to hell’ following a furious clash over his naked body scenes which aired on I’m A Celebrity multiple times.
The politician, 59, came third in the show as former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson was crowned the winner and boxer Tony Bellew came second.
Despite the former UKIP leader breaking the show’s strict band on nudity, the politician argued he had a right to clean thoroughly.
Nigel said he went against rules so he could wash himself properly to protect himself from leeches and illness.
Speaking to The Sun about his awkward bust-up with the channel, he said: ‘To be told to check yourself and to be told you must keep clean – and then to be told you can’t take your pants off in the shower struck me as contradictory.

‘I had a huge row. I was told in the interest of taste and in respect for the cameramen and women that I shouldn’t be doing this. I said, “Go to hell!”‘
Nigel also proved his right to shower naked – giving Sam’s leech blunder as an example.
He added: ‘Sam did not shower naked and Sam did not check himself. Sam woke up one morning screaming – the leech was huge. It was on his a*** and the sleeping bag looked like a murder scene. So there were very good reasons [to be naked].’
The star concluded to bosses that once he started showering naked, four other campmates followed in his footsteps.
MailOnline have contacted I’m A Celebrity’s representatives for a comment.
Frankie Dettori revealed that Nigel’s nudity was in breach of the rules, with show bosses telling the stars to keep their underwear on.
Speaking after he became the first star to be voted out of the Jungle, Frankie admitted he was bewildered to learn Nigel’s bare bottom had been viewed by millions.
‘Furious’ Team Farage have also slammed ITV with a legal letter accusing the channel of breaking an ‘indecency’ clause by filming him naked in the jungle shower.

Nigel Farage’s daughter Izzy, 18, told MailOnline that she warned her ‘body confident’ father not to strip naked on I’m A Celeb as she touched down at Brisbane Airport on Wednesday
But speaking to MailOnline, Frankie said: ‘Really? The shower is miles away from the camp so we didn’t know what was going on, I’m not going to spy on Nigel’s butt.
‘Really? We were told to keep our swimmers on!’
Nigel’s 18-year-old daughter Izzy has also spoken out about the nudity, admitting his family warned him about washing naked in the camp.
When asked how she felt about millions seeing her father nude, she told MailOnline: ‘We did warn him! We did say people get filmed in the shower.
‘But, hey, he’s a confident guy, he’s confident in himself so fair play, fair play.’
After the scenes, Nigel’s furious aides claimed the show had broken an ‘indecency’ clause in his contract which banned the channel from showing footage of him nude.
However, a show source told the Mirror: ‘All the celebrities are fully briefed before they enter camp that there’s cameras everywhere, except for the dunny.’

It came as he enjoyed a pint of Guinness with a group of Aussie locals on Monday after leaving the show.
Asked by Susanna Reid on the show if the £1.5million contract was a motivator for signing up to I’m A Celeb he replied: ‘The money of course! What’s wrong with that?
‘I gave up a very successful career in the city of London. My friends are on the rich list, and I live a modest life, I gave it up for a career in politics.
‘Is this the biggest pay check I have ever had? Yes, what’s wrong with that.’
On missing booze he added: ‘Many would have thought having a shower was a first priority, but for me it was a drink.
‘Being stuck in there for 23 nights grog free… and then I had a shower!’

He told Good Morning Britain how much he had missed drinking while in camp and surviving on basic rations
He looked delighted at being able to head to the pub and enjoy a pint of Guinness as he posed with a surfboard
After leaving camp he headed straight to the pub – Surfers Paradise Surf Club – in Queensland and had some Guinness while chatting to locals.
Also on GMB he chatted about the comments he made on the show about wanting airtime on the show.
He said: ‘When I talked about the trials, people who said ‘I don’t want to do that, I don’t want to do this’ I said to them you will be 25 per cent of the programme and I was being factually accurate!’
He added of why he signed up: ‘To say to the world, I have been the most demonised figure in the last 10 years in politics and I wanted to show my real self.
‘I had no agenda besides that.
Susanna and her co-host Ed Balls then pointed out that fellow politician Matt Hancock also came third on the show last year.
To which he retorted: ‘The idea I can be compared to matt Hancock on any level I don’t appreciate on any level.’

The politician took part in Panic Pit on Sunday night’s show in the hope to win the three finalists a luxury meal
After walking across the rope bridge to meet show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Nigel left the camp for the very last time to meet his French politician girlfriend Laure, 44, with the moment being the couple’s first public appearance together.
Nigel stood with his arm around Laure as she proudly turned to pose for pictures with her partner.
Nigel has been romantically linked to Laure, a French right wing politician since 2017 after she moved into his £4million Georgian home in Chelsea and was seen taking the bins out.
At the time Nigel dismissed the idea of an affair as ‘crackers’ as he had just announced the separation from his wife of 18 years, Kirsten.
Laure, who is 15 years Farage’s junior, met the politician 10 years earlier in 2007 when she was working as a waitress in Strasbourg.
After the exchange with the then 28-year-old, Nigel appointed her as a parliamentary assistant in charge of environmental issues in the UK – her first job in politics.
