Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen, 46, was quick to remind Our Yorkshire Farm viewers that although her and her brood were having “a bit of fun” during tonight’s episode, the areas around Ravenseat Farm can be very dangerous. The mum-of-nine experienced a close call with her daughter Clemmy, five, as the youngster almost slipped into a river when she tripped over on a rock.

It comes after Amanda and her husband Clive Owen welcomed the Swaledale mountain rescue team to Ravenseat Farm while they filmed their hit Channel 5 show.

The family allowed the volunteers to carry out a training session on their property, while challenging the Owens to evade capture for two hours.

The couple’s kids split up into four groups and with Clive on hand to help, embarked on their journeys across the moors.

Amanda was partnered with her youngest children, Clemmy and Annas, seven, as she assisted them in reaching their remote hiding spot.

Encouraging her daughters, Amanda yelled: “Come on girls, keep going!

“I know it’s hard work.”

Amanda then spoke to the camera and issued a warning about how the moors can be risky.

She said: “Yes, it’s a bit of fun today.

“But it’s a lot of cliffs, bogs, and places where people can, and do, get lost.

“So this is a very real and serious thing.”

Amanda then encountered a dangerous moment herself, as she rushed to catch Clemmy before she tumbled into the water they were trekking across.

As Clemmy stumbled on a rock, Amanda grabbed her arm and pulled her to safety.

The Shepherdess shared her fears as she exclaimed: “Oh, don’t fall!

“We don’t really want Swaledale mountain rescue to have to stretcher you off, do we?”

When the Swaledale mountain rescue team arrived earlier in the episode, Amanda recalled some of the “drama” the farm has encountered in the past.

Amanda began: “We’re just thinking back to all the times you’ve been here in real rescues, you’ve been here in the middle of the night.”

“I remember the first time I came up here was to rescue your sheep,” one of the volunteers recalled.

“I know that’s right,” Clive said, and the volunteer continued: “It was raining, it was horrible and this very large, very pregnant lady came across on a quad bike.

“She said, ‘I just thought I’d see how you’re doing,’” he added.

“Yes, we’ve had our share of drama, haven’t we?” Amanda agreed.

Amanda and husband Clive have nine children, Clemmy, Annas, Violet, nine, Edith, 11, Raven, 18, Nancy, three, Reuben, 16, Miles, 14, and Sidney, eight.
