Ozzy Osbourne all smiles at ‘low-key’ 75th birthday bash with family

Sharon Osbourne gives an update on Ozzy’s health

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne celebrated his 75th birthday with a low-key family party, according to his daughter Kelly.

The iconic rocker, who now uses a wheelchair and walker after four back surgeries, was surrounded by loved ones on his special day.

Kelly shared a touching photo from the celebration on Instagram, showing Ozzy cuddling his grandson Sidney, her one-year-old with Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife, can be seen smiling at the camera behind him, her hand protectively on his wheelchair.

The candid family shot also included Kelly’s partner Sidney, her brother Jack, his wife Lisa Stelly and their children.

Fans were quick to send their well wishes in the comments. One wrote: “Happy Birthday Ozzy. You are the best!”

Another said: “This is so lovely! You’re all so blessed to have each other! Happy birthday to your papa!”

He told the Mirror in January 2020 that he has a ‘mild version’ of the disease, which led him to cancel his February 2020 tour so he could seek treatment in Switzerland.

Before this, he had nerve damage from neck surgery after a nasty fall.

Chatting with Rolling Stone, the Prince of Darkness admitted: “I’m taking it one day at a time, and if I can perform again, I will.

“But it’s been like saying farewell to the best relationship of my life. At the start of my illness, when I stopped touring, I was really (annoyed) with myself, the doctors, and the world.

“But as time has gone on, I’ve just gone, ‘Well, maybe I’ve just got to accept that fact.’”
