Top Gear host Paddy McGuinness, 46, was left feeling “shaken” but uninjured following his “lethal” car crash after he misjudged a corner in a Lamborghini Diablo this week. However, the BBC star has now been spotted back behind the wheel of a Skoda following the incident.

We live to fight another day.

Paddy, who presents BBC’s Top Gear alongside Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris, has seemingly put the crash behind him as he was pictured back on the set on Wednesday.

While filming more scenes for the motoring show, the father-of-three was spotted in the driving seat of a Skoda.

According to The Mirror, Paddy joined his co-stars Freddie and Chris at Elvington Airfield, which is near York.

It comes after Paddy revealed he was “back in the saddle” by sharing a short video on Instagram on Wednesday, as he showed the damaged sportscar.

He divulged: “Back filming again today with Top Gear. I thought I would show you the Diablo.

“It’s on the back of the Low Loader. Gutted,” while showing the car.

Paddy continued: “As you can see, the damage underneath there. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we can get her back on the road.

“It wasn’t as bad as was made out yesterday, to be honest, but just shows you, a little bit of oil on a wet road, lethal.

“And I was only doing about 35mph. Anyhow, we live to fight another day.”

The TV star went on to show his followers the Skoda he will be filming in and said: “We’re in that now, the mighty Skoda.

“That’s the whip today,” he joked, adding: “Now where’s the butty van.”

Following his accident, a BBC spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “During Top Gear filming in North Yorkshire today presenter Paddy McGuinness’s car skidded and left the road, coming to an almost immediate stop.

“No other vehicles were involved and the Police, who had been monitoring filming, were quickly on the scene to assist.”

They went on to say: “Safety on Top Gear is always the production team’s priority and the vehicle’s speed at the time was within the road’s limit of 60mph.”

The TV host also took to his Instagram page after the crash to tell his 1.6 million followers what had happened during filming.

Paddy began to announce on Tuesday: “It’s been a mad old day on Top Gear today, you might have seen that I had a bit of a shunt.

“I finally got to drive one of my fantasy childhood cars, the Lamborghini Diablo, but it turns out 30-year-old supercars don’t like torrential rain, who’d have thought,” he explained.

“If you’ve ever owned a Diablo or you’ve driven one you’ll know just as well as me, oh my god, she can be a cruel mistress, she can be a cruel mistress that one.”

The Take Me Out star went on to say: “That V12 lures you in and suddenly ‘rawr’ it bites you. Fingers crossed we get the car running again because it is an absolute beauty.”

Paddy ended his video by sharing: “I’m going to have a cup of tea, a paracetamol and a good old cry.”
