Paris Hilton claims Harvey Weinstein pursued her into a BATHROOM at Cannes when she was 19 and bellowed: ‘Ya wanna be a star?’
- Hilton claimed she told Weinstein that she wanted to act at Cannes in 2000
- He alleged tried to follow her into a women’s bathroom a day later at a gala

Paris Hilton has claimed Harvey Weinstein made advances on her at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival when she was 19.
The blonde socialite, now 42, told Glamour UK he even pursued her into a bathroom and began ‘hammering on the door’ of her stall.
Harvey was a movie mogul for over 20 years before his downfall during the Me Too movement in 2017 under a cloud of sexual misconduct allegations.
The 70-year-old was convicted of rape in New York in 2020 and sentenced to 23 years, and this Thursday he was slapped with an additional 16 years for a rape conviction in Los Angeles, meaning he will almost certainly die behind bars.
He has spent years denying allegations of nonconsensual sex and has also insisted that Paris’ story about him at Cannes is untrue.

Paris said she first met Harvey when she and a gal pal were enjoying lunch at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000, while he was at the peak of his fame and influence.
‘I was at lunch with my girlfriend and he came up to the table and was like: “Oh, you want to be an actress?” And I said: “Yeah, I really want to be in a movie,”‘ I was a teenager, so I was impressed by him,’ she said.
‘I was like: “Oh my god, Harvey Weinstein is so cool!” and he said: “Well, we should have a meeting. You can come up to my room and read scripts”… and I just didn’t want to go, so I never went,’ Paris alleged.
The next day she attended the Cannes gala for amfAR, the American Foundation for AIDS Research, which Harvey happened to be hosting.
In her new interview, she accused Harvey of trailing her into the women’s bathroom at the gala and bellowing: ‘Ya wanna be a star?’
‘I went into the bathroom and then he followed me. He tried to open the door, he was hammering on the door, banging on it,’ she said.
‘And I wouldn’t open it, because I was like: “I’m in a stall, why do you want to come in here?” And I just wouldn’t open it,’ Paris asserted.
‘And security came and literally carried him away and he was like [shouting]: “This is my party,” going nuts. It scared me and freaked me out.’
A spokesperson for Weinstein told Variety that Hilton’s account was ‘probably false.’
‘He had always treated Paris Hilton with the utmost respect and kindness, and always believed they had a cordial relationship,’ they added, while claiming that she was ‘trying to get in on the current news cycle using his name with yet another creative story.’
Paris refrained from going public with the story at the time as Harvey ‘was just someone so powerful in Hollywood who everyone was terrified of.’
Paris maintained: ‘I didn’t even want to say anything about it because I was like: “I don’t want people getting mad at me for saying anything,” because it was just a known thing. He was just like that and people were like: “OK, just turn a blind eye.”‘

During the interview she laid bare the dark side of her past, revealing she was drugged and raped when she was just 15.
While living with her grandmother in Palm Springs, she recalled, she and her friends visited the Century City mall ‘almost every weekend’ for fun.
‘That was our favorite thing to do and these [older] guys would always just be hanging around the stores,’ Paris shared with the magazine, adding that ‘we’d talk to them, give them our beeper numbers.’
She recounted the story of how ‘one day, they invited us to their house and we’re drinking these berry wine coolers.’
One of her hosts was especially insistent that she drink up, and when she did so she began to sense that the beverage had been spiked.
‘I didn’t drink or anything back then, but then when I had maybe one or two sips, I just immediately started feeling dizzy and woozy,’ she said. ‘I don’t know what he put in there, I’m assuming it was a roofie.’
Although she only came to hours later, she ‘remembered’ what happened while she was drugged and still has ‘visions of him on top of me, covering my mouth, being like: “You’re dreaming, you’re dreaming,” and whispering that in my ear.’
Paris is now in a much happier phase of her life, embracing new parenthood and marital bliss with businessman Carter Reum, whom she married in 2021.
She has just become a mother, having announced this January that she and Carter welcomed their son Phoenix via surrogate.
She has been assiduously private about her newborn, waiting until this week to disclose his name and post pictures of his face online.

Recently she divulged that she and Carter hid the baby’s birth from even their immediate families until right before she broke the news on social media.
‘My entire life has been so public,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar. ‘I’ve never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves.’
While the surrogate was in labor, Paris was so determined to protect her privacy that she even went to the trouble of disguising herself with a brunette wig and checking into the hospital under an alias.
On a new episode of her podcast This Is Paris, she spilled that Phoenix was ‘like over a week old’ before she told her mother and sister about his birth.
