Phil Spencer, 50 – who fronts Location Location Location alongside Kirstie Allsopp – has been slammed by fans after an unearthed picture of him standing next to a bloodied deer came to light on Facebook recently.

The host is seen beaming for the camera while holding onto a rifle and the fallow buck deer’s neck.

The picture, believed to have been taken in 2011, was shared on the Green Paw Animal Welfare Project’s Facebook page earlier this month.

Animal lovers flocked to the post to slam the presenter for his antics.

One Facebook user wrote: “So sad to read this.. I like Phil but this is really disappointing.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Phil for a comment.

Phil’s deer stalking and pigeon shooting trip had been covered by online TV station the Fieldsports Channel.

The property host accompanied farm manager Andy Crow, whose crops had been wrecked by a deer.

He said at the time: “It’s my first deer.

“It came out beside us, walked almost under us and I managed to get a cheeky shot on a slightly difficult angle.

“It didn’t sound like I’d hit it – but I had. I am absolutely chuffed to bits.

Speaking to Andy, he said he had been hunting since he was a teenager.

“All the way through my teenage years, I had to keep a log of how many shots I had and what I got,” he revealed.

“Everything I hit, he [his dad] gave my four bullets for.”

Phil went on to say he had to “be careful” with what he shot as he didn’t want to waste any bullets.
