Phillip Schofield has been dropped by his long-standing agency YMU Group after 35 years.
The move came hours before the former This Morning presenter publically admitted to 'misleading' a newspaper over an affair with a much younger colleague.
In a statement sent to OK! on Friday, the agency confirmed it had "parted company with our client Phillip Schofield" on Thursday of this week.
Mary Bekhait, the Group CEO of YMU Group, said: “Honesty and integrity are core values for YMU’s whole business, defining everything we do.
"Talent management is a relationship based entirely on trust. This week, we have learned important new information about our client Phillip Schofield. These facts contradicted what Phillip had previously told YMU, as well as the external advisors we had brought in to support him.
“As a result, on Thursday we agreed to part company with Phillip, with immediate effect.”
For decades Phillip was one of YMU's star clients.
On it's website, a page boasting about the 15 time NTA winner has now been taken down, and leads to a dead link.
The developments came before Phillip issued a statement to the Daily Mail in which he apologised for "misleading" the paper over what he now says was an affair while he was married.
The 61 year old, who stepped down from This Morning last Saturday, admitted that the "on-off consensual relationship" happened, as he said it was "not wise but not illegal".
Phillip said that he met the man in question "when he was a teenager", and wanted help to get onto television.
Phillip then said: "It was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over."
He also apologised to MailOnline for "lying" to them about the relationship when the publication published the story earlier this month, as he denied it at the time.
Part of his statement said: "'In an effort to protect my ex-colleague I haven't been truthful about the relationship.
"But my recent, unrelated, departure from This Morning fuelled speculation and raised questions which have been impacting him, so for his sake it is important for me to be honest now."
