Poison were forced to cancel their appearance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on June 30 after frontman Bret Michaels was hospitalized.
Michaels’ bandmates, CC DeVille, Rikki Rockett and Bobby Dall, took to the stage to share the news. They said Michaels had suffered from an allergic reaction and the group would not be performing.
“To the incredible fans in Nashville, thank you for all your well wishes!! I was truly fired up to get on stage in the Music City and perform, but due to an unforeseen medical complication & following hospitalization, it was not possible,” Michaels wrote on social media.
He added, “I send my deepest apologies for being unable to rock the stage tonight!!! I’m working on being back 100% very soon & hope you rocked hard with my friends Motley/Leppard/Joan and Classless Act!”
Poison is currently touring the U.S. as a part of Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe‘s The Stadium Tour, which is slated to run through early September. The tour, which also includes support from Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, was originally scheduled for 2020 but was forced to reschedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since his health scare, Michaels was able to perform in Jacksonville, Philadelphia and St. Louis and is headed to Chicago on Friday and Detroit on Sunday.
