Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have arrived in Scotland as they relocate in order to keep the Queen company this month.
The Queen moved to her Balmoral Estate in the Scottish Highlands on July 23 for the first time as a widow, following the death of her husband Prince Philip in April.
The late Duke of Edinburgh would always join his wife at the royal residence for the summer, with other family members coming to stay for a few weeks at a time, but this year Her Majesty will be alone.
Pictures published by the Mail Online have shown Prince Charles and his wife Camilla arriving at the Scottish residence as they plan to spend the summer with the Queen.
The couple were pictured arriving at Birkhall – which is their home on the Queen's Balmoral Estate – with the Prince of Wales behind the wheel and Duchess Camilla in the passenger seat.
Prince Charles has been touring Scotland as part of his latest royal engagements, but has reportedly headed to the Aberdeenshire estate earlier than expected due to the recent allegations against his brother, Prince Andrew of York.
The family are said to be recouping, with Charles and Camilla expected to spend time with his mother as she spends her summer at the Scottish castle.
The royal couple's Birkhall residence on the estate is a grand, lavish property which has played home to their honeymoon, as well as the Queen and Prince Philip's after they wed in 1947.
Her Majesty, despite having spent a few weeks without family visitors, will have a full house in the coming weeks, as plenty of relatives are expected to head down.
Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their son, August, were recently spotted making their way to the estate.
It will be baby August's first family holiday after he was born in March this year.
Balmoral is a much-loved family tradition for all of the royals, and is the only time the senior members don't have any duties or commitments to uphold.
Princess Eugenie has described the summer home as "the most beautiful place on earth", telling ITV in 2016: "I think Granny is the most happy there.
"I think she really, really loves the Highlands."
She continued: "Walks, picnics, dogs – a lot of dogs, there's always dogs – and people coming in and out all the time.
"It's a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there; where you just have room to breathe and run."
