Prince Harry blasted by US star: We like him less the more we know him

Prince Harry has been branded “classless and thoughtless” for sharing his account of how he lost his virginity in his bookSpare.

TV presenter Megyn Kelly slammed the Duke of Sussex, 38, for opening up on the encounter in his tell-all memoir – a section that leftroyal fans cringing.

In the book, Harry described how losing his virginity at 17 was a "humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion."

The Duke revealed how the encounter took place in a field behind a busy pub.

“No doubt someone had seen us,” he wrote.

This week it emerged the “older woman” in question was formerHighgrove employee Sasha Walpole – who came forward to say the encountertook place on her 19th birthday after she and some friends went to the pub to celebrate.

Now, US TV star Ms Kelly has slammed Harry for writing about the experience – saying he has “no class”.

Speaking onPaul Murray's Sky Australia show, she said: "This is the latest example in how classless and thoughtless this guy is.

She added: "[It shows] how much better off he was when we didn't know him. The more we get to know him, the less we like him. In fact, now it's turning into active disdain."

This week Sasha, now 40, said the encounter happened in 2001, making Harry 16 years old – a year younger than he claimed in his memoir.

Ms Kelly went on: "What he did to this poor woman, he made it sound like it was a Mrs Robinson situation where it was like an older woman, like the mother of a friend. No! She was four years older, they were both teenagers.

She added: "He left the trail of breadcrumbs right to the woman. She accurately saw it coming…she came out and said 'All right fine, this is how it happened'. But [Harry's] not a gentleman, Paul, he has no class."

Sasha claimed she had known the Prince since her days as a groom atKing Charles' Gloucestershire estate, Highgrove.

Speaking about their passionate encounter, she recalled how she and Harry had sneaked outside the pub for a cigarette when the then-young prince kissed her.

Speaking toThe Sun, Sasha explained: “One thing just quickly led to another. We ended up on the floor.

“It was literally wham-bam between two friends. The sex was passionate and sparky because we shouldn’t have been doing it.”

Harry’s memoir became thefastest-selling non-fiction book ever on its release last month, with the English language editionselling more than 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication.

The autobiography brought anew round of attacks on the Royal Family, with criticism directed towardsPrince William andQueen Consort Camilla – as well as King Charles andKate Middleton.
