Prince Harry delights audience member with sweet gesture during ad break

Prince Harry shared a sweet moment with an audience member during the ad break of a US chat show – hugging and chatting to her.

The Duke of Sussex, 38,appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as part of his promotional blitz for his tell-all memoirSpare.

During the interview, a woman could be heard calling out “aww” at something Harry said – prompting him to say he was going to hug her after the show.

True to his word, the Duke sought out the audience member during the ad break and they shared an embrace and a few words.

Recalling the encounter afterwards on Twitter, another audience member wrote: "He was lovely.

“A lady at the front said ‘aww’ during something sad and he said he was going to hug her after the show and during the ad break he hugged her and had a conversation with her."

The Twitter user also revealed that his appearance on the show had been a big shock to everyone in the audience.

She said: "I was a part of this audience and we didn’t expect him, he taped his a day early so it was a surprise guest and we all lost our minds.

"I heard people behind me screaming from the top of their lungs LMAO and we all, all of us chanted his name."

Prince Harry reportedly secured a £17 million ($20 million) four-book deal with Spare publisher Penguin Random House.

He took part in anumber of TV shows in the UK and the US as he looked to plug his controversial memoir.

The book officially went on sale on Tuesday – with the English language editionselling more than 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication, making it thefastest-selling non-fiction book ever.

Spare has brought anew round of attacks on the Royal Family just weeks after hisNetflix documentary series levelled a fresh round of damning claims against the monarchy.

The Duke does not hold back in the book – with criticism directed towardsPrince William andQueen Consort Camilla – as well as fatherKing Charles and sister-in-lawKate Middleton.

Among the most explosive allegations in the book was one claim thatWilliam attacked Harry in a row over Meghan Markle.

Harry also claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales encouraged him to wear hisinfamous Nazi uniform to a 2005 fancy dress party.

In one section, he alleged his father King Charles told his later motherPrincess Diana that 'my work is done' after shegave birth to a 'spare' second son.

In another,Harry revealed he had killed 25 people while serving as an Apache helicopter pilot in Afghanistan.

The memoir also contains a number ofintimate revelations about King Charles– as well as someilluminating insights into royal life.
