Prince Harrys unwanted memoir Spare listed on Facebook Marketplace for just £5

Prince Harry’s bombshell bookSpare is being sold on Facebook Marketplace for just £5 – only days after its release.

The Duke of Sussex’s record-breaking memoir was officially released last week, with the English language editionselling more than 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication.

Penguin Random House, who published the explosive autobiography, say the memoir has raked in their largest everfirst-day sales total for any non-fiction book.

However, it appears not everyone is so keen on reading the revelations in the memoir after a copy of the book was spotted for sale on Facebook Marketplace earlier this week.

The seller asked for a mere £5 for Spare,Edinburgh Live reports.

The man, from Edinburgh, said on the Facebook Marketplace listing that the book was an "unwanted present, get in touch. Brand new."

Spare is currently being sold for £14 on websites and in stores across the UK, including Amazon, Waterstones and WHSmith.

Harry’s book featured anew round of attacks on the Royal Family – two years on from hiscontroversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, and just weeks after hisNetflix documentary series levelled a fresh round of damning claims against the monarchy.

The Duke, 38, does not hold back in the memoir with criticism directed towardsPrince William andQueen Consort Camilla, as well as fatherKing Charles and sister-in-lawKate Middleton.

Among the most explosive allegations in the book is the claim thatWilliam physically attacked Harry in a row over Meghan Markle.

Harry also claimed that the Prince and Princess of Wales encouraged him to wear hisinfamous Nazi uniform to a 2005 fancy dress party.

In one section, he alleged his father King Charles told his late motherPrincess Dianathat 'my work is done' after shegave birth to a 'spare' second son.

In another,Harry revealed he had killed 25 people while serving as an Apache helicopter pilot in Afghanistan.

The memoir also contains a number ofintimate revelations about King Charles – as well as someilluminating insights into royal life.

Meanwhile,Harry and Meghan have released a lengthy statement in response to Jeremy Clarkson’sapology to the pair over an explosive column he wrote about the Duchess of Sussex, 41.

In the now-deleted piece, Clarkson, 62, wrote that he lay in bed "dreaming of the day when she [Meghan] is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant 'Shame!' and throw lumps of excrement at her" – in reference to aGame of Thrones scene.

Thestatement for the Sussexes said: “While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories and misogyny.”

Elsewhere, friends of Charles and Camilla were reportedly left aghast at a private dinner at Clarence House last week after the monarchchose not to acknowledge Harry’s recent allegations against the family.
