“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Ashley Darby and husband Michael Darby are “savoring every moment” after welcoming their son on Sunday.
“I never thought this day would come,” Ashley, 31, captioned a photo of herself taking a nap at the hospital as Michael, 59, held their baby boy (whose name has not been revealed).
“After watching the bump grow, my mind went to birthing day (WILL THIS REALLY HAPPEN?!),” she told her followers. “And when the day finally came that this sweet child came into our world, it felt like the sunniest day after a sky filled grey. The most sensational day of our shared life.”
On the Season 3 reunion of “RHOP,” Ashey revealed that she previously suffered a miscarriage. It was the second time she ever experienced one.
“I had one when I was in my early 20s, so now I’m worried if something is going on with my body,” Ashley told Andy Cohen. “But I feel like it kind of brought us closer together in a way that I didn’t really expect.”
On the show’s current season the couple has shared their journey of trying to conceive again. Ashley confirmed she was pregnant again this past February.
“I’m not the most emotional person, but I shed some tears,” Ashley told People. “And then Michael started crying. And Michael, who is a very stoic person, when he cries, I start balling. It was like a share of waterworks between the two of us! It just was a blessing that was bestowed upon us.”
Michael has two adult children from a previous relationship. However, this is his and Ashley’s first child together.
