Sir Rod Stewart, 75, has spoken out after Ozzy Osbourne, 71, revealed he has Parkinson’s disease in a Good Morning America interview alongside wife Sharon Osbourne, 67, this week. The Black Sabbath performer admitted he was diagnosed with a “mild” form of Parkinson’s called Parkin 2.
Following Ozzy’s announcement, Rod took to Twitter in view of his 455,000 followers and encouraged him to “get out on the road” in spite of the disease.
He wrote: “Dear @OzzyOsbourne, Rotten luck mate, but well done coming forward.
“Now get out on the road and do what you do best.
“Much Love, Sir Rod.”

Fans took to the comments section of Rod’s tweet to share their thoughts.
One person replied: “Well said Rod, it’s a hard one to admit, but better people know. Well done Ozzy and good luck x.”
Another added: “Some good advice there Rod! Get on with what you do best!!”
A third Twitter user wrote: “Well said Sir Rodney.”
“YES!! Well said Sir Rod! Get out there and do what you love to do!! Then do it like nobody’s watching!!! God Bless,” a fourth fan commented.
Ozzy detailed his diagnosis earlier this week, explaining: “I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves.
“I found out that I have a mild form of….” he continued, as he turned to Sharon to finish his sentence.
His spouse added: “It’s Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.”

Sharon went on: “It’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination but it does effect the nerves in your body.
“It’s like you’ll have a good day, then a good day and then a really bad day.”
Ozzy then admitted he was in a “terrible state” a year ago and is now on medication.
Elsewhere, Sir Rod recently faced a health issue himself after having knee replacement surgery.

His wife Penny Lancaster shared a snap of the rockstar recovering on his 75th birthday earlier this month.
In view of her 93,000 Instagram followers, the former model posted a picture of Rod in a bathrobe standing next to a birthday balloon and some cake.
She captioned the snap: “Roddy is doing remarkably well after his knee replacement surgery on Tuesday (so well that the naughty boy keeps trying to walk with out his crutches).
“Luckily he is being discharged today to celebrate his 75th tonight and home this weekend to see the boys play football!”(sic)
