I'm A Celebrity's sure to take a toll on the famous faces in camp, but also the loved ones on the outside.
All five celebs who've been evicted so far have been candid about how much they've pined for friends and family, so it's no surprise that it's straining on the families of those who are still living among the creepy crawlies.
Not least among them is DJ Roman Kemp's dad, Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp.
This might seem strange to fans considering how Martin bragged about voting for his lad to do a grim eating trial.
But Martin, 58, offered heartfelt thanks to James for one particular moment that let him know Roman was in safe hands.
The popstar told James, who's still Down Under: "There was one moment that I really have to thank you for, as a father.
"Roman was curled up on your lap and you gave him a hug and my heart just went out and I thought, 'James, thank you so much for doing that.'"
"It was when he didn't get scones," laughed presenter Vick Hope, with James over in Oz.
Martin continued: "That's right! Because it was something that I wanted to do, because you see them and, you know, he's my kid and I thought someone's got to give him some love.
"When James did it I thought, 'Thank you so much for that.'"
Rob Howard, sitting in for Roman while he braves jungle life, asked Martin if there was anything in particular he wanted to ask James.
"How is he doing?" Martin bluntly asked, "Emotionally, how is Roman doing? Is he holding up alright?"
James replied: "Look, he's holding up. I think, you know, he obviously talks so highly about how amazing you are as a dad and your lovely wife and your family.
"I think, you know, he has these brilliant days where he sits down in the camp and he goes, 'Right, I've got a question for you. If you won the lottery, what would happen? What's the right time to tell your partner that you love them? When is too early?'
"So we all have these conversations, but I see him sometimes just having those moments where I think it gets to him.
Roman established himself as a firm fan favourite early into his jungle career.
It didn't stop his old man from putting in the calls to make him take on the trials, though.
"Just voted for my boy to eat Kangaroo B******s…That'll show him!! @romankemp," he laughed on Twitter .
He also gave a running commentary on Roman's stomach-churning trial alongside Adele Roberts, during which he was forced to chow down on a fish eye, mealworms and a bull's penis.
Martin chuckled: "…@romankemp how was the penis…what just asking!!!"
Later he added: "A ranking of best romantic movies: 1) The Notebook 2) Notting Hill 3) Roman and a Bull's Willy."
