Didn’t fancy a celebratory post-match pint, Ryan? Hollywood star appears to have jetted straight out of Wrexham following last night’s win as he is spotted on an early morning walk with wife Blake Lively in New York
Ryan Reynolds appears to have jetted straight out of Wrexham following last night’s win as he was spotted on an early morning walk with wife Blake Lively in New York.
The Hollywood star and Wrexham AFC co-chairman was seen holding hands with wife Blake Lively on a romantic stroll in New York City at 8.30am Eastern time.
Lively looked stylish in a tan trench coat, a patterned scarf, black joggers and sneakers while Reynolds Ryan wore a black hoodie and blue jacket, teamed with grey slacks and a green woolen hat.
The actress, 35, and the actor, 46, who welcomed their fourth child recently, looked loved-up as they strolled in the Big Apple while enjoying a chat.
Wrexham’s 3-2 victory against Notts County on Easter Monday is the latest stage in a remarkable turnaround story, which sees the Welsh club on the cusp of automatic promotion to the Football League after a decade and a half.

Since being bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in early 2021, Wrexham have soared both on and off the pitch, with hordes of new fans and the backing of celebrities including Will Ferrell, John Cleese, Jack Whitehall and Jason Watkins.
The Crown’s Emma Corrin was among the celebs at Monday’s game, with Reynolds hailing her as a ‘new addition to the family’.
Wrexham, who now need seven points from their final four games to clinch the National League title, have benefitted from the massive surge in interest since their Hollywood takeover.
Their 10,771-capacity Racecourse Ground has been full for most games this season, and foreign supporters including Americans, Australians and Canadians are now ‘the norm’.
These new fans have provided a welcome boost to the club’s finances, with 24,000 shirts sold in the first seven months of the season alone and visitors lugging off bags of merchandise back home.
Crucial to the club’s transformed reputation was Welcome To Wrexham, which followed McElhenney and Reynolds as they learned how to run what fans are proud to call the third oldest professional football club in the world.
Foreign fans are making the town a tourist spot, with a coachload of fans from San Francisco recently visiting The Turf pub, which is a key setting in the documentary and asking if they can see other locations filmed in the stadium.
To date, McElhenney and Reynolds have already pumped some £10million into the club and look to open their wallets further as they pursue a bold dream – promotion to the Premier League.
Future ambitions aside, Wrexham fans will be ensuring they make the most of what is already proving to be a fairytale period.

Monday’s win was secured with a spectacular save by keeper Ben Foster, who was kissed by Reynolds after the final whistle.
He later told reporters: ‘Rob kissed me fully on the lips and Ryan called me a double handsome b*****d,’ Foster said after the game. ‘I’ll take that.’
‘They’re so happy, if you could order an absolute bob on, top of the class, top of the range owner, then you would just package them two up because they are as good as it gets.
‘It means so much to them, they care so much, they do it properly. I’ve been here for what three weeks now and it’s ran so professionally you would not believe. It is ridiculous how they run it, so fair play to them they deserve all they get.’
The celebrity duo appear committed to the club, with Reynolds recently bagging himself a £1.5million home in the nearby village of Marford.
The home – reportedly the ‘poshest in the street’ – is just just five miles north-east of Wrexham where he and fellow movie giant Rob McElhenney run the town’s football club.
It is a far cry from the £4.3million luxury New York home Reynolds and his wife share with their four children – and it appears Lively is in no rush to move from the Big Apple anytime soon, as she was pictured strolling around the city yesterday.
Marford has been part of both England and Wales over the years – being just a few miles from the border.
The village has a population of roughly 2,500 people. There are two pubs, one at the bottom of the Marford hill – The Trevor Arms – and the other at the top, The Red Lion.
There is one shop, the Co-op which opened in June 2016, adjacent to The Red Lion.

The tiny village, home to about 2,500 people, doesn’t have its own church or place of worship. But dotted around it are buildings like this, with Gothic-style architecture
The village also has a disused quarry, which opened in 1927 to originally supply materials for the creation of the Mersey Tunnel before being shut down in 1971.
It has since become become an important nature reserve, having been colonised by a variety of plant species and insect life like moths and butterflies.
Marford’s previous claim to fame was being the hometown of former Blue Peter presenter, Tim Vincent, so a wave of excitement is washing over the village.
Maguz Malik, 57, who owns The Red Lion pub, told MailOnline today: ‘It’s wonderful news. Ryan Reynolds has done so much for Wrexham and the local area.
‘It’s caused a real buzz in the village, many of the locals are excited that such a huge star is going to be living here.
‘I’ve seen a lot of his movies and I’ve obviously watched the Netflix documentary about him and Rob McElhenney taking over at Wrexham football club.
‘Ryan seems like a real down to earth guy and I think he’ll fit in around here. It’s a friendly and welcoming place to live. I’m sure he’ll love it as much as us.
‘And he’s more than welcome in the pub, we’ll have a pint waiting for him.’
In August last year Reynolds revealed his wife was not particularly happy when he told her the he had bought the Welsh team with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor McElhenney.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he said: ‘I remember seeing Blake, saying, “I have bad news and I have really bad news. I slipped into someone’s DMs again. The really bad news is that I might have bought half of a fifth-tier national football league in Wales.”‘
However, Ms Lively has been snapped cheering on Reynolds’ club. In May last year the couple watched Wrexham take on Bromley during the Buildbase FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium in London.
The pair bought the club back in 2020. Since then they have put Wrexham and its once struggling club firmly back on the map.

None of their four children — including the newborn, whose name and gender have not yet been revealed — were seen in her snaps.
In her carousel post, she documented her outfits and her husband as they enjoyed a tropical getaway with the family.
‘She sells seashells by the seashore,’ she wrote in her caption, referring to aptly chosen jewelry pieces for her vacation.

The couple — known for keeping their lives relatively private — appeared to be taking a vacation from their children as none of them were seen in the snaps.
Last September, Lively revealed that she was expecting baby number four by showcasing her baby bump while attending the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit. During Super Bowl Sunday, she then shared a snap without the aforementioned bump — indicating they had already welcomed their child.
