Shakira described her Super Bowl Halftime Show with Jennifer Lopez as the “best birthday gift.”
“Thank you @jlo for a night that shows how much Latinos have to offer,” the Colombian superstar said on Twitter, referring to Lopez by her nickname, J-Lo.
The American actress, singer and dancer was born to Puerto Rican parents.
“The best birthday gift has been the support of all my fans and the most amazing and hardworking team an artist could wish for,” Shakira tweeted shortly after her performance on Sunday, when she turned 43.
“We Latinos climbed Kilimanjaro and made history tonight and we couldn’t have done it without all of you,” she added.
Shakira posted a photo of the duo performing on stage at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
