Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash first met on the set for ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2016 – the year that she was crowned Queen of the Jungle. The 38-year-old former ‘EastEnders’ actor started dating the singer after they bonded on ITV hits spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’. Recently, the pair have spoken out about their family life and how they worked to accommodate each other’s children from previous relationships. Before the birth of their son Rex, the ‘Loose Women’ star, 30, confessed that she had no plans to have any more children.
Solomon, who rose to fame on ‘The X Factor’, admitted that if she had any more children she would worry that her sons would feel left out.
The singer feared it might be “difficult” for Zachary, who she had with childhood sweetheart Dean Cox, and Leighton, with her ex-fiance Aaron Barnham.
She said: “You worry about, ‘If the father of my next child lives with me, do the other kids then feel bad about being left out?’ It’s a difficult dynamic.”
Solomon felt there was a stigma attached to having children with different partners and was concerned that a third would lead to further scrutiny.
She told the Mirror in 2017: “A lot of people make you feel bad about having different children to different people.
“It doesn’t seem that bad, but it’s hard for people to digest and they think it’s unfair on the kids.”
When asked if there were plans to have a child with Swash, who also had son Harry from a previous relationship, she seemed uncertain.
Solomon added: “We talk about it. But briefly. Joe’s got his boy and I’ve got mine.
“The boys love Joe. It’s just doing what’s right for the children rather than what we selfishly want.”
Despite her apprehension, she gave birth to son Rex in March last year and in a U-turn from her previous remarks has recently hinted that she wouldn’t rule out more.
During an Instagram Questions and Answers, Solomon said: “We’d never say never – we feel so lucky and grateful to have four amazing children and it’s my favourite thing in the world being a mum, so who knows.”

Her comments led many fans to speculate that she might be pregnant again – a claim that was later shut down by the star.
Fans came to the conclusion after she made an emotional post about Swash, which read: “I feel like everything in my life has led me to you and every day I’m more grateful.
“Sorry about the soppiness. These last few days I’ve turned into mush.”
One fan wrote “sloppy hormone alert” and asked if she was pregnant, while another commented: “I was wondering the same.”
But Solomon put an end to their suspicions in a post, where she wrote: “We haven’t got any plans to try for any more pickles but we would never say never…
“We love being parents, it’s our biggest privilege so to be able to do it again would be a dream.”
