Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley has revealed the moment stalkers left her wondering if fame was all worth it.
The shaken 27-year-old Londoner was left "terrified" by a number of very close encounters.
She was so haunted by them that she had to have therapy.
In an interview with The Sun , she says she questioned if being in the film contributed to the risk.
“I’ve had a couple of stalking incidents and absolutely nothing can prepare you for the absolute fear you feel," she said.
“The first one was in New York a couple of years back when this really big guy followed me back to my hotel late at night.

“I started screaming and he ran away. But I can remember the utter fear that came over me.
"I had to have some therapy after that, it really scared me.
“I wouldn’t change my Star Wars experience for the world, but you do wonder, ‘Would this have happened if I wasn’t in the films?"
Daisy was last week slammed for claiming she is no more privileged than her Star Wars co-star John Boyega.
The actress, who went to boarding school, was asked about her privilege and whether it had made things easier for her in an interview with the Guardian .

She said she wouldn't have found it easier to adjust to fame than John, who grew up on a council estate, might have, insisting they were "similar enough".
Daisy, the daughter of a banker, was branded "tone deaf" and "detached from reality" on Twitter .
Fans were not happy with her comments.
The 27-year-old asked "how" she was more privileged and the interviewer suggested her wealth, class and education.
One posted: "That Daisy Ridley interview was so awkward i just— how does she not realize her privilege?? wealthy people especially white ones are so detached from reality."
Another agreed, saying: "My lack of surprise at Daisy Ridley being completely tone-deaf and uneducated about privilege."
