Todd Rundgren’s Utopia Benefit For Moogy Klingman Available As 6-Disc Box Set

Todd Rundgren‘s prog-rock band Utopia‘s 2011 benefit concert for Moogy Klingman is set to be available in a 6-disc box set on May 1.

The collection, Benefit for Moogy Klingman, features the audio and video from a concert held on January 29, 2011, at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, and from a show that took place November 18 at Peekskill Performing Arts Center in Peekskill, New York.

In 2011, Utopia reunited to play a series of shows to raise money to help founding keyboardist Klingman pay medical bills for the treatment of bladder cancer. Klingman died on November 15, 2011, at the age of 61.

Klingman took part in the New York City show, as did Rundgren and three other 1974 Utopia members, including drummer Kevin Ellman, keyboardist Ralph Schuckett and bassist John Siegler.

The audio portion of the Benefit for Moogy Klingman collection also will be available via streaming services.
