TV presenter Laura Jackson pregnant with third child – and will give birth next month

Ready or Not’s Laura Jackson has announced that she is pregnant with her third child with husband, Jonathan Corrigan.

Laura, who last year recalled being followed home by a man after the Glamour Women Of The Year awards, is already mum to Sidney, three, and son Remy, two, with Jonathan.

The broadcaster, 36, made the announcement for her 162k Instagram followers on Tuesday alongside a black and white picture of herself cradling her blossoming baby bump.

A second image showed Laura alongside her daughter, Remy, as she sported a soft beige cardigan that barely covered her bump.

A third image featured Laura taking a picture of herself in the bathroom mirror with a digital camera.

In the caption, she wrote: “I've always chosen to keep my pregnancies private for as long as possible. Worrying I will get overlooked for work and that it will affect people's perceptions of my capabilities.

“We have definitely moved the dial a lot in terms of rights, but I think pregnancy shame is a real thing and women are still, sadly, subconsciously (and consciously) discounted from opportunities because of a bump.

“I feel conscious of an announcement trigging others: conceiving can also take a variety of paths – and I always want to try and be as sensitive as possible to friends and my community who are navigating their own fertility journey…or choosing not to navigate it at all.”

Laura continued to admit that the last eight months have been the “most emotional”, and she hadn’t been feeling herself as she battled “exhaustion, zero energy, crazy hormones, feeling so incredibly lonely in this journey, tears, sickness (leading to hospitalisation), feeling like I've lost my personality, I mean, the list could go on.”

“I wish I could have felt more Rhianna at the super bowl, but sadly not so,” she added, referencing the star’s sensational performance last week.

She continued: “'As a glass half full /over flowing kinda gal – this has been hard. These are new feelings for me and have at times felt scary.

“However, I'm so lucky to have the support of my family and friends – even though I have been a miserable b*tch.”

“Being able to get pregnant and grow an actual human is of course the most special thing. I know that I'm so lucky. However it's not something my body, mind or hormones seem to enjoy: please tell me I am not alone in not enjoying this?!” Laura added.

“I'm very much looking forward to not having stabbing pains in my vagina, enjoying a pint(s) of margarita and just feeling like my old non-pregnant fun self — oh and meeting the baby, of course. Not long to go now!”

Reacting to the announcement, Holly Willoughby, who was recently branded “divine” for her outfit on Dancing on Ice, penned: “Awww darlin… you are an incredible, gorgeous woman… hugest love to you and that bump… you got this.”

“….not long now sweetheart….” wrote Stacey Dooley, who recently welcomed her own bundle of joy into the world.

Laura has worked on shows like Take Me Out: The Gossip on ITV2, This Morning on ITV, The Clothes Show on BBC One and Big Brother's Little Brother.

She runs a supper club, Jackson&Levine, with Alice Levine and also works as a food columnist for various publications.
