Twitter Is Working on a New ‘Undo Send’ Feature

Twitter is exploring yet another big feature change!

The company is testing an “undo send” feature that would allow users a short window of time to withdraw a tweet before it is publicly posted, the company said Friday (March 5).

This was found after app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who discovers unannounced social media features by looking at site code, tweeted out an animation showing a tweet with a spelling error with an “undo” button available before a short timer ran out.

“A Twitter spokeswoman said the feature was being tested as part of the company’s exploration of how subscriptions could work on the platform. She said Twitter would be testing and iterating possible paid-for features over time,” Reuters reported.

Twitter is currently working on paid subscription models to reduce its dependence on ad revenue.

In February, it was reported that a “super follow” feature would allow users to charge for their content, and it will launch sometime this year.
